Al-Manoufia University participates in the “SU REAL LIFE COMPETITION SURL” international competition organized by the American University in Cairo
Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Al-Qassid, President of Al-Manoufia University, Dr. Nasser Abdul Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, witnessed the opening of the annual international competition “SU REAL LIFE COMPETITION SURL” organized by the American University in Cairo during the period from 18 to 26 April 2024, in the presence of Dr. Yasmin Fawad, Minister of Environment and Doctor Tariq Shawqi, former Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed Dalal, President of the American University, Dr. Rania Azmi, Deputy Medical College for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mahmoud Fawzi, Deputy Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environment Development, and a number of faculty members and students from colleges participating in the competition, at the headquarters of the American University in the fifth assembly.
Abdulbari noted that the competition aims to blend students’ skills and foster collaboration across various academic disciplines, and plays a key role in raising participants’ awareness of the key strategies and solutions for their professional development.
He added that the theme of this year’s competition addresses environmental entrepreneurship as it embodies the concept of promoting innovative business ventures, by encouraging participants to explore how entrepreneurship can contribute to sustainable development with balancing economic growth, environmental conservation and social inclusion, as well as encouraging competitors to integrate the transformation Digital in their solutions to promote multidisciplinary, through three tracks: circular economies, sustainable finance, and social impact.
This, Al-Manoufiyah University participates with five teams competing in the three tracks, and the competition is supervised by Dr. Mohammed Shaheen, General Director of the General Administration for Student Care, and Dr. Walid Hussein Talaat, Director of Mobile Management and the coordinator of the UNESCO Central Cultural Club of the university.
